Today I’m a little interested in an article that has been circulating for a few days about facebook not allowing topless photos from mothers breastfeeding on their network.

Now there are loads of mothers who are outraged about this because they want to be able to show their breastfeeding photos blah blah blah. I think it is safe to say that not many people are comfortable with nursing women breastfeeding in places like a restaurant, or museum, library or any other public gathering place, not even in the movies. Everyone wants to remain so puritan-like when it comes to sex in this country and well women cannot just roam around topless if they feel like it. I know most of the male population would love that lol but it’s just not going to happen. Then you have people like myself having judgment cast upon me by other women for showing my pink parts and it’s pornographic because I’m touching myself in a lewd manner. Most of the time I’m not but that doesn’t even matter to people who think posing nude and being remotely sexual is morally wrong.
The thing is hey if you ladies all want to show off your nursing breasts on places like facebook and myspace and all those neat little social gathering places then I should be allowed to do so too. Oh wait, what? You don’t want your teenage son or daughter to see any of my photos where I am bearing my breasts or wearing a thong because they might be learning what sexuality is? Or worse, your husband might find my pictures stimulating and then become a porn addict. It’s immoral, lewd, pornographic, etc… right? Really? What is so pornographic about a boob just hanging out not bothering anyone? Last I checked they were just as functional as a nursing breast.
Here is something that may surprise all of those uppity lily white virginal women who only have clean, polite, sexual relations with their husbands to produce a million offspring they can’t afford to raise. There are men who get incredibly aroused by your nursing milk-filled breasts! Yep that’s right and they want you to do all kinds of dirty, nasty things with them like squirt your milk all over the place and actually let them suck on your nursing nipples. That’s really not the picture you wanted to have about such a perfectly natural, nurturing, maternal thing like breastfeeding is it? I didn’t think so.
Lastly, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. You don’t get to have your censorship both ways and be able to tell Facebook that it’s ok for breastfeeding to be shown but not ok for women who don’t have an infant latched to their breast to show their nipples. No nipples, no breasts for me, that means NONE! For nobody. Nada! And the next time you think it’s your privilege to whip out your tit to feed your newborn baby in a restaurant where other adults would like to enjoy their meals, think about how many people don’t want to see that. Isn’t it really great when other people pitch a fit about what you do and prevent you from being who you are? YEA IT IS!
